Etihad also plans a new Abu Dhabi to Calgary route. This flight is set to begin on October 25. These moves show how smaller nations gain commercial advantage.
The German industry shows increased ambition despite cost pressures. Lufthansa Group announced a 2027 summer expansion strategy on October 20. This includes new intercontinental and European routes. Condor aims for about 20% growth. This relies on new Airbus A330neo and A320 deliveries. Condor is also considering Chicago integration. High German costs may limit domestic growth. Discussions about a global airline alliance are ongoing.
