Looking ahead to 2026, the luxury fleet launched an extraordinary 154-night world cruise. This epic journey features fascinating stops across 77 distinct destinations worldwide. It highlights a remarkable quarter-century of maritime excellence for Regent Seven Seas Cruises.

When the 720-passenger vessel was first delivered, it made global headlines. Every single cabin featured a private veranda, a premier industry first at the time. The grand christening ceremony took place on May 21, 2001, in Los Angeles. The event was hosted by Carlson Companies, the parent organization that owned the brand then known as Radisson.

During its maiden deployment, the ship spent its inaugural summer sailing to Alaska from Vancouver. Later that same year, the Mariner embarked on other ambitious voyages. These included a 26-night South Pacific adventure starting and ending in San Francisco, followed by a 54-night grand tour around South America originating in Fort Lauderdale.

Recent Fleet Enhancements

For the 2026-2027 season, the ship has planned a series of appealing itineraries. After spending the summer months cruising the Mediterranean and Northern Europe, the vessel will shift operations toward the Caribbean and South America.

The vessel recently underwent an extensive dry dock revitalization in late 2025. According to official statements from Regent, every suite onboard received a complete makeover. Upgrades feature brand-new furniture, modern hardware, and contemporary lighting solutions. Furthermore, the ship's most exclusive suites debuted with stunning, fully redesigned marble bathrooms.

Public spaces also received a fresh look to ensure a cohesive design style across the entire fleet, matching the aesthetic introduced by the newer Explorer-class ships. Additionally, the popular Pool Grill underwent a total transformation. This area now features a brand-new wood-fired pizza oven concept. This casual open-air dining venue delights guests with a delectable menu of gourmet artisan pizzas.
