Hilton Enters Guinea's Hospitality Market

The consortium of Falibra Group and SCF SA has secured an agreement with Hilton. This deal introduces the DoubleTree by Hilton brand to the capital. The property, named DoubleTree by Hilton Conakry Kaloum, is scheduled to open in 2029. This initiative marks Hilton's official debut in Guinea. It expands international hospitality options in a dynamic West African business hub.

Strategic Location in Kaloum

The complex will be built on the former Grand Hôtel de l’Indépendance site. It sits on the Atlantic coast in the Kaloum district. This area is Conakry's administrative and commercial center. The hotel is near government ministries, the Central Bank, and the Autonomous Port of Conakry. This proximity serves official delegations and business travelers. Nearby, the Loos Islands offer recreational boat trips.

Executive Vision and Local Impact

Falilou Diallo, Executive Director of Falibra Group, highlighted the contract's importance. He stated the hotel will deliver an international experience. This is supported by Hilton's recognized standards and expertise. The project reflects the group's commitment to quality infrastructure. It also creates jobs and training opportunities for local hospitality professionals.

Facilities and Amenities

DoubleTree by Hilton Conakry Kaloum will feature 196 rooms and suites. Guests can enjoy a full-service dining experience. Amenities include an all-day restaurant, a signature restaurant, and a lobby café and bar. There is also a poolside bar and grill. The property includes an outdoor pool, a children's pool, a fitness center, and a spa and wellness zone. Tennis courts are also available for guests.

Meeting Spaces and Events

The hotel provides flexible spaces for corporate meetings and social occasions. It features a multi-purpose hall, meeting rooms, and an outdoor lawn for events. A business center is also included. These facilities support large gatherings and professional functions.

Regional Expansion and Partnership

Carlos Khneisser, Hilton's Development Director for Middle East and Africa, noted this is a key step. It extends the brand's presence in Africa. He expressed satisfaction with the partnership with Falibra Group and SCF SA. The project is developed through a public-private partnership. It is part of efforts to renew Conakry's hotel offerings.
