Celebrity Cruises to Launch Long Weekend Caribbean Trips on Celebrity Beyond
Shorter Caribbean Itineraries
In a strategic move to attract busy travelers, the cruise line announced that one of its newest and largest ships will begin offering long weekend sailings in the Caribbean. While the company previously offered only week-long or longer itineraries on its Edge class vessels, from late 2028, passengers will have access to three to five night Caribbean trips aboard Celebrity Beyond. Some routes will even include a visit to Royal Beach Club Paradise Island, a private island owned by Royal Caribbean Group, located in Nassau, Bahamas. Between November 2028 and March 2029, the ship will operate nine three-night sailings departing and returning from Fort Lauderdale to the Bahamas. These shorter itineraries allow passengers to experience the facilities of a large ship even if they do not have much free time for cruising. The starting fare is 308 pounds per person.

There is also a longer five-night route, departing from Fort Lauderdale on December 28, which calls at George Town and Cozumel. For this variant, the starting price is 599 pounds per person.
Other Fleet Options
Launched in 2022, Celebrity Beyond is one of the largest ships in the fleet, with a gross tonnage of 141,420 and a capacity for 3,260 passengers. It was the first ship in the series to introduce an extended bar called Magic Carpet, suspended above the ship's width, as well as a large Sunset Bar, a rooftop garden, and a three-story indoor market called Eden. Currently, the vessel is in dry dock for a major refurbishment that will conclude on November 17. This modernization includes the addition of dining venues Orange Peel Bar & Grille and Tacos del Sol, as well as the Bora dining area.
Smaller ships in the company's fleet also offer short itineraries. Celebrity Eclipse will propose three-night weekend sailings departing from Fort Lauderdale during the 2028/29 winter season, while Celebrity Summit will operate four to five night itineraries departing from Miami. The starting fare for these smaller ships begins at 243 pounds per person.
Newest Ship Debuts in Caribbean
Additionally, the cruise line announced that its newest ship, Celebrity Xcite – the sixth in the Edge series – will spend its inaugural season in the Caribbean. The new ship will operate seven-night Caribbean sailings departing from Miami, starting November 2028. Port of call will include St. Thomas, Antigua, British Virgin Islands, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Maarten, and the Dominican Republic. For this sailing, the starting price is 642 pounds per person.
