Six hours of sleep on an eight-hour flight: SAS Business Class Delivered

We mentioned earlier this week we decided to take a last-minute trip to Europe, flying the SAS A330 Business Class. This flight couldn't have been easier and I'm so grateful that my children are such excellent travelers. Dinner, six hours of sleep and a cappuccino before landing in SAS business class I connected through Chicago and spent some time at the excellent Delta Sky Club (that's huge!) before boarding. The Air France Lounge is nice, but the Delta Lounge is even nicer. The full review is approaching. Staying in the living room, we were among the last to climb, finding our seats in the central sections of the first and second rows. It was evening and we were tired, but could we sleep? Dinner service started after takeoff and the food on the SAS is excellent.

Heidi ordered the fish and I ordered the short ribs, with the intention of sharing, which we like to do when we fly together. However, the salmon was good, the beef was very delicious, as were the appetites. Claire Marie and Augustine did the same, one eating beef and the other eating fish and then sharing. I loved how the children were so calm and well-behaved, enjoying the fun of the flight and each other's company. After dinner, the children went to bed immediately, and Heidi and I did the same. A flight attendant asked us if we wanted to wake up for breakfast and we said no, although we asked if I could have a cappuccino on the top of the descent. We all slept very well... six hours... which is pretty amazing for an eight-hour flight.

When I started the descent, an FA remembered without even telling me to bring the cappuccino, which was nice. Heidi slept a little longer and woke up just 20 minutes before landing. She wanted coffee and she had to... a great crew. I enjoy taking family trips together, although I hope the kids will be old enough to fly in economy class, while Heidi and I will fly in business class. Because I can sleep in any chair and the IFE is the same in business versus premium economy or economy. It's a completely different problem, which we can discuss at a later date. The bag had an interesting political clue, which I'll discuss next week. But a wonderful flight. I hope it's not jet lag...
